Rare John Lennon "Self Portrait" Steinway Model O | Purchased New in 2011

The John Lennon Self-Portrait is a minimalist yet iconic sketch of the legendary musician, instantly recognizable for its simplicity and symbolic representation of Lennon. 

Lennon drew the self-portrait in 1971 as part of a series of line drawings. The sketch features Lennon’s unmistakable round glasses, flowing hair, and a peaceful demeanor, all rendered in just a few simple lines. This minimalist style reflects his artistic inclination for clarity and directness.

The drawing emerged when Lennon was creating “Imagine”.

Steinway & Sons collaborated with the Lennon estate to honor his legacy by incorporating the sketch into the design into this extremely limited edition.
